Hi.., another simple dish that everyone will love as a perfect appetizer...serve it with your favourite sauce..The idea came from Gert's Kitchen...My youngest really like it...hubby too..Thanks Gert!! There are many more that catched my eyes...hehee...nanti nak gali lagi resepi you eh!
Ingredients:-
  • 20 large shrimp - peeled, deveined with tailes intact
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup of panko bread crumbs

Method:-

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degree F. Lina a baking sheet with aluminium foil. Drizzle it with some olive oil.
  2. Marinate the shrimp with salt and pepper. Beat the egg white and pour it into the shrimp. Mix well.
  3. In a plate, combine the bread crumbs with 1/2 tsp. of salt. Mix well.
  4. Coat the shrimp with the bread crumb. Lay the shrimp on the baking sheet, drizzle a bit of olive oil over the shrimp and bake for 6 - 8 minutes until golden brown.

(*Note: if you like coconut, you can add 1/4 cup of it to the bread crumb.)

Hello Ummi, wow! Ini la saya suka.
I have always loved udangs.
When I was 7 years old, we lived across the road from the sea, and very often will go across after school with a small lidi or coconut leaf strand, tie a string, put a tiny hook, break open a siput, and tangkap undangs between the rocks....
and my mother will be very happy I bring back about 2 dozen udangs....as well very often I make like satay.

I push a stick thru and bakar the udangs...those old days no oven, pakai kayu api, very sedap la, the smell of burnt udang is out of this World, and thats why till today saya suka udangs....especially udang harimau.

Sini kita dapat udangs from Thailand, Vietnam, and South America, and cheap too, very fresh.

I love your this 'baked shrimps'....agak2 sepeluh udangs will do nicely for me, ha ha.

Ummi, the day saya balek kampong, I am going to let you know, and ahemmm, will give big hint to you dapat you jemput saya datang for makan, ha ha. Lepas tu pergi jalan2 ke Telok Chimpedak, ha ha.
Have a nice day, Lee.
